Free, and yours

€0, no card. The editor and your notes are completely unmetered — write as much as you like. Your notes are a local vault of plain .md files you own, on your machine, that you can open in any editor.

A real WYSIWYG markdown editor

Write markdown and watch it render as you type — no split-screen preview to babysit. Keep notes in folders, and drop rich content straight into a note.

Markdown, rendered live

Type markdown and see it formatted inline — headings, lists, tables, quotes and code. A clean editor, not a raw text box.

A vault of folders

Organise notes into folders on your machine, stored as plain .md files you fully own.

Rich content inline

View charts, Mermaid diagrams, images and audio inside a single note — right where you're writing.

All of this is in the free editor. Viewing rich content is free; side-by-side chart and diagram editing is a Personal upgrade.

AI-native, with the model you choose

Bring the AI of your choice — any provider, or a local model on your own machine. Hand it a note as context, ask it to improve, rewrite or extend, and save the reply straight back into the note.

On Personal, the AI chat docks right beside the editor — hand it a note, ask it to improve or extend, and save the reply straight back. With a local model, your note stays on your machine; with a cloud model, only the specific note or text you hand the AI is sent to that provider.

Interconnected — the paid upgrade

On Personal and Pro, a note stops being an island. Fast Actions turn any note into an email draft, tasks, a calendar event, or a contact — one click, no retyping.

Frequently asked questions

Is @bridge Notes really free?

Yes. The WYSIWYG markdown editor and your local vault of .md files are free — no card required, and completely unmetered. Editing notes never draws from your ops budget. Paid plans add auto-save, the interconnection into emails, calendars, contacts and tasks, and voice.

Where are my notes stored?

On your machine, as plain .md files in folders you control. They are your files — nothing is locked in a proprietary format, and no note is uploaded to us just to open or edit it.

Which AI can I use?

Whichever you like — bring your own. Point @bridge Notes at any provider you already pay for, or run a local model on your own machine. There is no lock-in and no model bundled with the editor.

What do I get if I upgrade?

Personal adds auto-save, docked AI chat beside the editor, audio transcription, side-by-side chart editing, and the interconnection — Fast Actions that turn a note into an email draft, tasks, a calendar event, or a contact. Pro adds voice notes from your mic, Plug-as-Context, whole-note branded HTML email, and saved templates.

Does it need Thunderbird?

Yes — @bridge Notes lives inside Thunderbird, alongside your emails, calendars, contacts and tasks. Install the free desktop app, add @bridge, and the editor is there.

Can I get my notes out?

They are already out — your notes are plain .md files in a folder you control, so there is nothing to export. Open them in any editor, sync them however you like, or move them anywhere.
