Fast Actions

Fast Actions are one-click AI shortcuts. Point at an email — or a note, or a single selected line — and turn it into something useful without writing a prompt:

  • To Task — capture what the message is asking you to do.
  • To Calendar Event — pull the date, time, and title into an event.
  • To Contact — extract the sender’s name, email, phone, and address.
  • To Reply — draft a reply in your voice, ready to review.
  • Extract Action Items — list every to-do buried in a long thread.
  • To Branded Email — turn a rough note into a styled @bridge Compose draft.

Fast Actions show up wherever you’re working: the message toolbar in the mail view, the @bridge Notes editor, and the @bridge AI Chat. Same actions, same one-click flow, using the provider and model you picked.

  1. Open a message (or select a line in a note).

  2. Click the Fast Actions button and choose an action.

  3. The AI you configured extracts the details. Anything that creates or changes data pauses for your confirmation — you see what it’s about to do before it happens.

The extraction runs through your AI provider — a cloud model or a fully local one — and the resulting task/event/contact/draft is created locally in Thunderbird. @bridge never routes the content through its own servers.
