Open the @bridge extension settings
Already installed atbridge.ai? Everything you configure lives in the @bridge Settings page. The quickest way there is two clicks from the AI Chat — no digging through Thunderbird’s menus.
Open Settings

Click the @b button in Thunderbird’s activity bar (the icon strip down the left) to open the @bridge AI Chat next to your mail.

In the AI Chat, click the ⚙ gear icon at the top right. The atbridge.ai Settings page opens in a new tab, on the Status panel.
A tour of Settings
Section titled “A tour of Settings”The left-hand menu groups everything:
- Status — is atbridge.ai connected to Thunderbird and your plan healthy? Start here if something’s off.
- License — activate this device or start a free trial (auto-detects your Thunderbird accounts; no key needed).
- AI providers — connect the AI you’ll chat with (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Ollama, …). Your key is encrypted on this device. → Connect your AI
- MCP setup — point an external app (Claude Desktop, an IDE) at atbridge.ai instead. → How your AI connects
- Preferences — defaults the AI Chat uses (which account to send from, which calendar, tone).
- Prompt library — save reusable prompts for mail and calendar.
- Skill settings — your working hours/days and which skills show in the chat.
- Branded Email theme — your colours, font, logo, and signature for Branded Email.
- Templates — your saved Branded Email layouts.
- Versions — what’s installed and whether an update is available.
- Advanced — power-user toggles.
